Behind zhingyee.com

In order to preserve my original name, I use ‘ZhingYee’ instead of ‘Zoey’ or whatever for my domain name simply because my name is unique and no one has it ^^ Since this blog is all about me, it’s better to use my own name so that I can create any subdomains I want in the future. Another reason is… I cannot think any! Haha~

Who is Zhing Yee?

Hi there! My name is Chen Zhing Yee or you can call me Zoey ^^

How shoud I start my introduction? LOLz!!! Okay, here comes the simplest one… You may have already known my name, haven’t you? Okay, the rest of my introduction goes on… My age is 24, born in the year of Rat but it’s not 1984. Why? Because in Chinese calender, I was born before Chinese New Year, practically I’m a 1985’s baby XD I’m an Aquarius, a very conservative being who likes to take things in low profile and a bit of not-so opened minded with shy personality (for my case). I have 7 members in my family (parents, 4 younger sisters and 1 younger brother), considered a big family though.

My hobbies, hrm… I like to take photos and travel. I wished to join many outings so that I can have interesting things to write in my blog XP I indulge in watching drama (Japanese, Korean, Hong Kong and Taiwan) and Animes. It’s my only entertainment when I was in UK actually, not now :P I also like doodling because I’m the only one who can draw and design in my family, haha~ I’m a very organized person as well (oh really?) because I don’t like to see messy stuffs around me, hehe…

Hrm… What else? I really don’t know what to write. Okay! That’s all! ^^

Last but not least…

People ask me why I want to have the particular English name. Well, the reason is simple, because I can’t think of any, there are too plenty of names for me to choose. In the past, my mum created ‘LOVE’ for us sisters (Louise, Olivier, Vivian and Esther). Frankly, I used Louise last time when it wasn’t suit me at all and I wouldn’t let others know about this name :P

Until the time when I was in UK, I cannot use ‘Zhing Yee’ as it’s very hard to pronounce for the locals, no one will have proper pronunciation. That’s why I need to come up with an English name. Coincidentally, my name has Z and Y alphabets, so I tried to think of a name with Z and Y. ‘ZOEY’ flashed into my mind and I really like this name, even though it sounds a bit ‘childish’ but I don’t care XP
